Iremía Pottery, run by Georgina Downie, is based in Bishop’s Tachbrook – between Leamington Spa and Warwick – in Warwickshire, England.

As well as making and selling her own pots, Georgina offers beginner’s lessons and pottery experiences from her home ceramics studio and at venues close by.

Iremía means peace and tranquility in Greek and the pottery-making experience can be just that. Feeling the clay in your hands and creating something unique while taking time out from the everyday grind is a real tonic!

“Had a taster session with my son. I have always wanted to try pottery and this was the perfect way to learn. Lovely relaxed environment but packed with information. My son is neuro diverse and can be very anxious in new situations but Georgina’s consideration and lovely way of teaching, he got stuck in, throughly enjoyed himself and learnt a new skill. We both came away relaxed, happy and excited to have another go. We will definitely be back for more.

Highly highly recommend”

“We recently did the Pottery & Prosecco night hosted by Georgina as something different to do for date night. Georgina creates a really fun and relaxed environment whilst you learn. She was a great teacher and we made some beautiful pottery for Christmas! I’d highly recommend this as a date, gift or something to do if you have always wanted to try pottery. We cannot wait to try throwing with Georgina in the future!”
